Lightwell seeks to empower mission driven organizations to architect their futures through data-informed and human-centered research.
how we work
At the heart of truly understanding systems is a knowing that life -- including the life of an organization -- can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards. Through our in-depth, qualitative research process and strategic planning support, we guide organizations in acknowledging the multiplicity of lived experiences amongst its stakeholders, adapting or expiring practices which no longer serve stakeholders, and aligning systems to increase stakeholders’ sense of belonging and compassion for each other.
our process
Lightwell’s first step in our client relationships is to understand client perspectives through in-depth, one-on-one interviews with a broad swath of stakeholders.
After gaining a comprehensive understanding through empathy interviews, our process involves three main components:
We stoke ideas that take into account past initiatives, reflect on present practices, and chart a forward course of action.
We solicit and receive feedback on those implemented solutions -- especially from stakeholders most impacted by past practices that caused harm, created new or revived pre-existing trauma, or led to a decreased sense of belonging.
We cultivate those practices that incentivize acceptance, belonging, and compassion -- thus generating diversity, equity, and inclusion.
